Specific Job Responsibility

The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include

Delegate daily jobs to the workforce.

Ensure safety is maintained at all times in the work area.

Keep accurate work and record keeping, including maintaining log books to ensure statutory compliance.

Manage contractor trucks and ensure loads are well secured.

Control material disposal and segregation.

Ensure proper yard delineation.

Perform any other duties delegated by the coordinator.

Job Specific Competencies

Mechanical knowledge of scrap materials.

High level fabrication skills.

Ability to operate a forklift or TLB.

Knowledge of lifting and rigging.

Awareness of all safety rules and regulations

Experience required to perform in this job

Minimum 3 years as a supervisor.

Minimum 5 years as a boilermaker

Qualifications

Grade 12 Certificate.

Craft Certificate or its equivalent.

All qualifications must be certified by ZAQA
